I really love seeing someone's workspace. I like to follow all the details and imagine the progression of a work of art. It just so happens my life has been filled with artists, from my mother, brother, brother-in-law and best friend growing up. My friend, Sarah Dawn Helser, let me into her artistic whirlwind as she prepares for a one man show this Friday at the Renee George Gallery. If you live in Charlotte, you should definitely check out one of my favorite artist's work.

Now the mess is extreme as she had to finish 40 something paintings for another project at the same time as her show. I'm always impressed by her skill, I don't know many people that have the gift of painting she does...

I never thought I'd be a such a fan of something in pop culture, but oh I am. I love the Hunger Games. Maybe because it's the first series of books I've read in a really long time, or maybe because in my little spirit is a Mockingjay that just won't quit, or because I've been sporting a braid long before and now I just need a bow & arrow... Whatever it is, I'm in to it... and I just wanted to confess that, right here, in my space on the net I am big Hunger Games fan! AND a couple of my friends played trainers and avox in the first movie! AND it was filmed right here in my city. If you don't know what I'm talking about it's ok, I thought the Hunger Games was a diet book when I heard everyone talking about it! Anyone else out there, still thinking about Gale & Peeta? 

My husband got us tickets!! Can't wait.

This is one of the most talented and fun families ever! There are so many things I LOVE about this wedding... the dance floor ceiling, the vintage glassware, the french food, photo station, the farm tables, lights, pink Vera Wang dress, cute couple... and pimento cheese sliders... I don't know if I've ever had such a good bite of something in my life. Ginger is the best at weddings & parties: seriously. This won't be the last time you hear about her...
