Bride: Pam... a mysterious beauty.

Thursday, November 11, 2010

It's not every day I get to photograph a former model, now bride. :) Introducing the beautiful Pam, who was married in Kentucky recently. I was so happy to take her picture! She has such a mysterious beauty.

Enjoy!

Bride: Ashlee Hardee

Monday, July 26, 2010

It is always a real treat to photograph someone unique and creative. I am so excited to blog about these bride-to-be portraits... Introducing the adorable Ashlee Hardee... She's pretty much a model. We went from the city to the country to take these shots. Enjoy!

Oh, and by the way, you don't want to miss seeing her wedding photos coming up next... it was like an anthropologie fairytale.

Charis Bride Part 2: A European Rooftop.

Saturday, September 26, 2009

As promised, Part 2 of the lovely bride Charis...

Sometimes when you do photo-shoots in the same city, you get a little bored of your usual locations. This might seem silly but I recently watched the documentary, "The September Issue" and the art director from Vogue Magazine said she was told to never close her eyes when riding in a car because you might miss something... and this is so true!

I have been driving by this location for years, always wanting to do a photo-shoot here and... voila! today you see the results... and I couldn't be more pleased. I adore these photos, and I adore little Charis.

We pretended we flew to Italy for this session, you can too... enjoy!

This is one of my favorites.

And just wait until you see their wedding...

A Bride with Style: Charis Part 1

Monday, September 14, 2009

I have been so excited to post this portrait series, it has been hard to wait. Today you will meet the lovely Charis. Charis is a stylist and recent grad from the Aveda Institute.... which could explain why she has such good hair (and style).

There are SO many AMAZING shots and looks from this day I'll just have to show you in sections!

The ones today are the more "artistic city shots", Part 2 will be more European Villa meets Fashionista... I can't believe I just used that word.

Blue Door Blue Eyes

Her purple shoes make these photos so adorable...

Love these.

Charis wanted some balloon pictures so bad, with our millions of props that's the one things we didn't have for the shoot... AND THEN in this back alley we found this picture of a balloon spray-painted on the wall. So I told her to fake hold a string and then I obviously photoshopped one in there... I like it better than the real thing!

I feel like we flew to the Greek Isles to get these shots... I'm loving these secret locations...

I promise you, you will LOVE part 2 even more! Stay tuned...

Miriam: A City Bride

Wednesday, July 22, 2009

Well, amidst all my creative endeavors I'm officially in the middle of my wedding season. I've got brides and grooms coming out my ears! And I love it! So buckle your wedding seatbelt, because I'm an editing machine and the pictures aren't stoppin'!

This is Miriam. Miriam is a classy kind of girl, with a traditional designer side. Miriam and I tried to schedule these portraits in the middle of toasty July and for some reason the rain kept coming on our day. Finally we snuck these in between downpours, and she looks elegant as ever. (I, on the other hand was a soaking wet, sweaty mess taking these in July.) but it was all worth it.

Miriam's designer wedding, literally at the South End design center downtown is coming up in a few weeks, I can't wait!
