Stephen & Cincy's Stylin Wedding Part 1; Asbury Park Grove, NC

Thursday, August 13, 2009

Only one more Summer Wedding to go and then I can breathe until September! (which is just a few weeks away really) Well, I told you I was an editing machine, and I promise there will be more projects coming up, because Fall-time is coming, and for me that means project-time, but I still have some AMAZING summer weddings to show you. Like, this one.

Stephen & Cincy Part 1.
This is Stephen and Cincy, a stylin' Charlotte couple who were married at the Asbury Park Grove. There were so many cool photo opp spots around the area, that I couldn't restrain myself with the photos. (that's why there's 2 parts) Just uploading this post has taken me all afternoon!

Everything about this couple is adorable. One of the mother's made these cute signs to direct guests off the highway to the wedding route!

This pic was taken so the makeup artist could see her work through the lens... beautiful! And, that is a redbull in the groom's hand. :)

Cupcakes, my latest obsession.

Sisters.
Little Elfling flower girls. I feel like they should be in Lord of the Rings. Beautiful little girls.

I'm not going to lie, I think these groomsmen look a little bad-A in the next few photos.

Ceremony, Reception and the most beautiful train track photos coming soon...

Miriam and Daniel: South End Wedding: Tradition & Science!

Friday, August 7, 2009

Happy Monday! Here's another wedding to look at!

There were a lot of special things about Miriam and Daniel's wedding. The first one, is that they were married in the same church that Miriam's parents were married in! Sweet! And after a ceremony in a Traditional Lutheran Church, they moved the party to South End Charlotte.

Because Daniel is a genius... (really he works in D.C. doing technological things with microchips and stuff. ;) ) Miriam sent a little rubix cube down to Daniel and the boys with a sweet note before the wedding. The idea was for him to "have something to do" while he was waiting. I thought this was so cute, and literally like minutes later, he was finished with his little prize.

I love this photo, I over-exposed the light in-camera and then heightened the contrast and filter in-computer so it would look almost like her dress blended with the light, I love it in this Sepia tone.

Three sisters! One of my favorite parts of the day was watching the three sisters interact. Maybe because I grew up with ONLY boys in the house, I have a deep appreciation for sisters, and loved watching their funny dynamic on this day. (they all have the same perfect smile)

Little flower angel. So sweet.

This is one of my favorite group shots so far...
My assistant, Jessica Keener took this photo because she loved the girls different shoes. Adorable. Good shot Jessica!
Bridesmaids "cheers-ing" to all their hard work being over! :)

The reception was at the "Design Center"... a really cool location.

I LOVE these dancing pictures!

favorite.
Their goodbye looks like its' snowing in Narnia! What a perfect day!

"Transform" - model project. part 1- Josh

Wednesday, August 5, 2009

Today's blog is about transformation. It may not look like it, but the goal is to do a series of portraits where the "model" transforms into different looks. It would be easy to use a girl for this project, but I decided to make a little challenge for myself and use my husband- since he has this gnarly beard going on. (He just got home from Portland, I think the city rubbed off on him). This is part one of this "transform" session, the next series of photos will be an entirely different look, expo-saying the process of transformation. If that's a little too deep, then just enjoy these newly cropped photos!
